An excited audience cheering and holding red signs with the number "180" on them at the Professional Darts Corporation ANZ Premiere League competition.

It’s a bullseye for lovers of darts. A new Australasian competition will stop off at Wellington’s TSB Arena in November 2025. You’ll be able to watch as darts players aim for glory. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) ANZ Premier League acts as a springboard into the 2025/26 World Darts Championship. There are eight positions open to New Zealanders and Australians. The eventual champion heads off to a place in the global competition.

PDC chief executive Matt Porter describes the new competition as a huge boost for professional darts in the region. “The PDC ANZ Premier League is an exciting moment for us,” he says. “We want to encourage the next generation of stars to emulate the likes of Simon Whitlock, Damon Heta, and Haupai Puha.” Simon Whitlock, known as ‘The Wizard’, has confirmed his return to the big stage for the Wellington show. The European Champion and World Cup of Darts winner will be joined by the famous English darts referee Russ ‘The Voice’ Bray.  They’re both ready to light up the TSB Arena.
