Canadian comic Kurtis Conner heads to Wellington

What does a sell-out performer, podcaster, and global YouTube sensation have in common? They are all the same person. Triple-threat Canadian Kurtis Conner is coming to The Opera House as part of his Goodfellow World Tour.

Kurtis has earned a dedicated audience as a YouTube commentator. His comedic approach paired with a deadpan delivery has gained him over 5 million subscribers. His subjects range from current issues to film criticism. He’s renowned for his critique of people who marginalise minorities. He makes fun of them while raising awareness of important issues like consent, domestic abuse, and misogyny. While the show is not restricted, it is recommended for audiences 15 years and older.

After studying comedy writing and performance in Toronto, Conner quickly found an audience with short video content on Vine. Since moving to YouTube he has branched out into podcasting and stand-up comedy. In 2023 Variety named him in its Top 10 Comics to Watch list. He also partnered with Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, the largest international comedy festival in the world.
