An Evening with Graham Norton

The Opera House
He’s the self-proclaimed People’s Princess of Aotearoa. Funny man Chris Parker is back with a new (and dramatic) stand-up show. Stop Being So Dramatic is his latest creation and it’s heading to The Opera House in July 2025. People have been telling Chris that he’s dramatic since childhood. Now that he’s 34 he’s ready to address the drama queen allegations head-on. Join him for an hour of high-intensity, feverishly paced, and dizzyingly expressive comedy. Chris says, “I’ve cried in every speech I’ve ever delivered publicly, and this year when I slept on my neck weirdly, I may have bought myself an unnecessary neck brace. Still, I’m desperate to prove that I’m really chill and down to earth.”
Chris Parker is a graduate of Wellington drama school Toi Whakaari O Aotearoa. He first built a reputation by posting funny videos on social media. Now he tours live shows and is a regular face on New Zealand TV. See him in ‘7 Days’, ‘Have You Been Paying Attention NZ’, ‘Jono and Ben’, ‘Funny Girls’, ‘Taskmaster, NZ’, and ‘Golden Boy’. He has appeared in feature films ‘Baby Done’, ‘The Breaker Upperers’, and ‘Nude Tuesday’. He has two feature films of his own currently in development.
