Bless the rains — it’s a trip through famous songs of the 70s.

Two billion streams later the song ‘Africa’ continues to gather fans across generations. The American band behind the classic hit (and many others), Toto, is going on tour. Formed in 1977 they are still going strong and visiting Wellington’s TSB Arena in April. They are known for music that combines elements of pop, rock, soul, funk, blues, and jazz. Coming along for the tour is special guest and long-term friend Christopher Cross. 

The Song ‘Africa’ has been certified Diamond for sales of 10 million by the Recording Industry Association of America. Of course, this won’t be the only hit you hear on the night. You’ll be able to sing along with other songs from the 70s and 80s like Hold the Line, Rosanna, I’ll Supply the Love, and It’s a Feeling. Toto has won an impressive six Grammy Awards for their songs. 

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Christopher Cross will also bring the nostalgia. He won five Grammy Awards for his debut 1979 album Sailing.
