About the trail

Rough Justice is a bumpy trail that provides a quick connection to other trails within Ngā Ara o Rangituhi. The rutted terrain was once farmland (take extra care when riding these sections).

This trail links downhill mountain bikers from the end of Chimney Sweep to Farm Road.

Getting there

  • Start at the Raiha Street entrance to Ngā Ara o Rangituhi. Head along Farm Road for 2km until you reach the start of Rough Justice.
  • Alternatively, start high and ride down Farm Road from the top of Te Ara Utiwai and then via Chimney Sweep until you reach Rough Justice.
  • There are regular bus and train services to Porirua and the surrounding area. Timetables are available from Metlink.
