Messiah — A Christmas tradition
The trumpets shall sound as the NZSO rings in a Kiwi summer with that evergreen Christmas staple: Handel’s ‘Messiah’. Brit Thomas Blunt conducts a cohort of New Zealand soloists.
One of the world’s oldest national symphony orchestras, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) has charmed audiences since 1947. Today, it is recognised as an orchestra of international stature. The NZSO’s reputation for artistic excellence attracts many of the world’s leading musicians, conductors, and soloists.
In 2024, the orchestra will bring audiences more of the best international artists plus an array of top Kiwi talent. The touring programme will see the orchestra perform over 100 concerts in over 30 communities. Be among over 100,000 people across the who experience live orchestra music.
